Release date: August 14, 2012

Blurb:

Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…

Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarre connection. I’ve sworn him off even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But against all common sense, I’m falling for him. Hard.
.
Our relationship issues aren’t out biggest problem…
.
The Department of Defense is here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we’re linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And when a new boy shows up a school with a secret of his own, things get complicated fast. I need to choose between my own instincts and Daemon’s.
.
But then everything changes…
.
I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. Daemon’s never going to stop searching until gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?
.
No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies.

Pre-order it: Amazon or Barnes and Noble
Add it: Goodreads

Describe your book in one word:
Tense.

Cast your heroine:
Oh, boy. I suck at these things. How about…  Emily Browning? I think she has a very natural, understated beauty.

Cast your hero:
I think Pepe, the cover model is perfect. That’s who I see in my head.

Describe your heroine in three words:
Smart, stubborn, and sassy.

Describe your hero in three words:
Jerky, complicated, and sexy.

Favorite line by heroine:
“I hate you and your freaky alien powers.”

Favorite line by hero:
“You’re mine.”

How would your heroine describe your hero when she first meets him?:
Katy would say that Daemon is hot, but then he'd open his mouth and she'd probably call him a douche and other words.

How would your hero describe your heroine when he first meets her?:
I’m sure it wouldn’t have been something nice. He’d probably say that Katy was cute and used the word “trouble” at some point.

Choose an on-screen kiss that best illustrates the intensity between these two characters:
Everyone has been choosing Damon and Elena’s kiss from Vampire Dairies in their fan trailers, so I’ll go with the masses on that one.

Author Talk

Why do you write in the genre you write?:
I write in pretty much all genres: contemporary, paranormal, urban fantasy, and science fiction. I like to keep diverse so it’s fresh for me. But I always, always have heavy theme of romance.

Can you give us a hint of something else you’re working on?:
Um, well, right now I’m working on edits, but soon—very soon—I will be working on a YA contemporary that’s a mix between The Messengers and What Lies Beneath. Really excited to get started with the creep factor.
